NRV REGIONAL DATA

Virginia’s New River Valley comprises four counties (Floyd, Giles, Montgomery, and Pulaski), one city (Radford), and ten towns (Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Dublin, Floyd, Glen Lyn, Narrows, Pearisburg, Pembroke, Pulaski, and Rich Creek). The region boasts two state universities (Virginia Tech and Radford University) and an exceptional community college (New River Community College). The 1,458-square-mile region has a high degree of economic and social integration and a total population of over 180,000 people.
