Centrally located in the heart of the New River Valley, Pulaski County is one of its fastest growing economic centers, with outdoor amenities that pull residents from all over the region.  In historic downtown Pulaski, Calfee Park, one of the oldest continuously operating baseball parks in the country, attracts historians, locals, and baseball enthusiasts alike. It is currently home to the Pulaski Yankees, the NY Yankees Appalachian League Affiliate. Claytor Lake and its surrounding state park draws fisherman, swimmers, campers, skiers, and other vacationers year round.

You can usually find game nights at Calfee Park sold out and packed to the brim with loyal NRV residents cheering on the Pulaski Yankees, a Rookie Advanced team in the Appalachian League under the New York Yankees. The Yankees are a source of pride for Pulaski and it’s impossible not to have fun at Calfee Park.

The Draper Mercantile

If insanely good food is what you want, look no further. Chef T, the runner-up of Hell’s Kitchen, is cooking up the best of the best in the NRV for an exceptionally reasonable price. Known by locals as simply “The Merc,” this favorites spot is always thinking up new and delicious ideas for customers.

Motor Mile Speedway and Dragway

Grab for your friends every weekend and head to Motor Mile Speedway  and Dragway to watch a race or even participate yourself. That’s right, you can take your car on the Dragway for a race! This NASCAR sanctioned home track is packed with people of all ages ready for a night of fun.
